Travelling to Dorset for a Large Family Birthday Celebration at Dove House was one of four brilliant events during a busy Bonanza weekend of Dinner Parties. Dove House is situated in a beautiful part of the country with an arresting view of the surrounding countryside. With stunning scenery and a quaint milieu, it was a perfect setting for a family get together for a welcome break. With six adults enjoying four courses of top quality cuisine on the Saturday evening with the younger children first dining on some ChefGary Cottage Pie. It was a fantastic evening in a beautiful rented cottage near Dorchester and the children made my day by being great sports and making me feel really welcome. Enjoying and finishing all their food was a bonus! Whilst the children finished off their ice cream Sundaes the adults enjoyed some delightful canapes  before going on to banquet on three further delectable courses at the centre table. 

Throughout the evening, I had the pleasure of utilising three ovens and vast work space which was an indulgence and luxury for any chef. I always enjoy cooking in a new environment but open planned kitchens are my favourite, enabling me to join in on the evening more. Receiving amazing feedback and compliments from my cooking from a great crowd made for a rewarding evening and I enjoyed a cold beer before heading off back to Southampton.

Seared Scallops, Thai green Curry sauce,

Fillet of Beef Wellington, Wild Mushroom Pate, Parma Ham, Crisp Pastry, Red wine Gravy,
Potato Fondant, Glazed Baby Carrots, Green beans, Parsnip Crisps,


To Finish:

Trio of Desserts:
Toffee Apple and Pecan Crumble, 
Cherry Bake Well, Caramelised Plums,
Peach Tarte Tartin,

Or

Tropical Fruit Salad, Creme Chantilly, Caramelised Plum Crumble.
