Private Dinner Party, Surpise Birthday, Tanya Weddell







Cooking for a Surprise Special Birthday near Yateley this Sunday was a very special finish to the weekend :) Having cooked for Tanja and John previously it was a huge pleasure to do so again and the menu was a fantastic challenge to cook for a large table :) Everything went superbly, every guest making me very welcome and making the day so enjoyable to be part of.. :) It was a superb sunny day and so canapes were enjoyed outside before three further courses were served indoors at one long table in sight of the beautiful spacious kitchen where i was working :)












Menu



Canapes:

Black Treacle and Dijon cured Salmon Skewers, Lemon, Rocket,

Honey, Mustard and Sesame glazed Pork Chipolatas,

Melba Toast, Shropshire Blue, Spiced Pear Chutney,

Bruschetta, Mozzarella, Blush Tomato,



To Begin:

Goats Cheese, Slow Roasted Tomato and Fresh Basil Ravioli,
Beetroot Relish, Balsamic,

OR

Smoked Chicken Breast, Mango, Chilli,

OR

Marinated King Prawn, Saute with Garlic, Chilli, Chorizo,



Main-Course:

Pave of Beef Fillet, Pulled Brisket and Red Wine Pie, 
Dauphinoise Potatoes and Fresh Vegetables,

OR
Trio of Asian Inspired Chicken,
Green Chilli, Coriander, Ginger and Coconut Sauce,

OR

Salmon, Spinach and Prawn Wellington, 
Buttered Asparagus Spears,

OR

Seared Masala spiced Sea Bass Fillet,
Thai style Sea-Bass Fish-Cake,
Egg Noodles, Black Bean and Soy Broth,



To Finish:

Dark Chocolate and Ginger Cheesecake, 
Chocolate Tuille, fresh Raspberries, Chocolate Cherry.
