Private Dinner Party, The Benton's




A fantastic Dinner Party to finish off the weekend! A return visit amongst many to the lovely home of Paul and Lorna and their two boys, always being an ultimate pleasure cooking for such great food fans. The young boys are absolutely brilliant when it comes to trying new food and it is a delight to watch them guzzle on ingredients that would possibly deter less adapt palettes. Everything was demolished and it was great to have all my plates come back swiped clean! Paul gave me a heads up on some of his previous favourite dinners with me and I then created the full menu to provide what I thought would go down well. Serving up my Duck dish which is definitely another top favourite of mine, offering bags of flavour accompanied with my spiced Red Cabbage was a winner for the evening. 

The table was laid with a Christmas theme which gave a resplendent atmosphere, being a perfect way to round off a full on weekend of four Dinner Parties!! I was made to feel most welcome as always, enjoying several cups of tea and it was pleasing to join in plenty of conversation throughout the night.

Saute King Prawns, Pancetta, roasted Butternut Squash,


Main-Course:

Assiette of roast Duck,
5 Spiced Pan Seared Breast,
Confit of Leg,
Soy and Chilli spiced Pastis,

Fondant Potato, Spiced Red Cabbage, Glazed Baby Carrots, Saute Greens, Red wine Gravy,



To Finish:

Trio of Desserts:
Toffee Apple and Pecan Crumble, 
Vanilla and Honeycomb Brulee,
Chocolate, Chilli and Wasabi Brownie, Salted Caramel Cream.
